Success

Stories

I'm grateful for my parents and uh everyone who had helped me out in my ACCA journey.I think consistency is the most important things. So you have to be very consistent among all the subjects and also consistent when it comes to the preparations for the exams and also another thing is ,it's very important to know all the fundamentals concepts to everything. So you that will be like the foundation for whatever you're writing in the exam and also the application part. So be familiar with the exam styles um and probably do mock exams that really helps out to excel.

I think the best tip I can give when it comes to ACCA, it's not like a ordinary exam that you would usually do it's a professional qualification. So it is something that's designed to build technical skills and also a mindset that is required to work in a real business world. So it's important to have that perspective when it comes to your studies and also your exams. You have to think like a true finance professional. So that really helps you out not just to pass the ACCA exams but also to excel.

when I was being learning at advanced levels examinations, uh actually when I was seeing the names of the lecturers and the teachers, I saw that there are some names behind actually his name like some merits and some designations. So I thought like I had a dream from that day onwards whether I would be able to add some more names before like after my name. So with that particular target I started my career journey from double to chartered and then when I got to my degree I had an ambition that yeah I should go more than this particular country I should pursue a global qualification.

So with that particular personal ambition I thought of pursuing this particular qualification ACCA then I enrolled to ACCA and when I was learning I knew and I got know that this is particular qualification that goes beyond this particular country and it's a global qualification it's actually global passport so I believe in this particular position now most of the people are having single qualification but I'm having double qualification with chartered and ACCA.

So it's a very kind of a great moment and proud moment for me to be a kind of a ACCA member for a person as a personal achievement and also in professional terms I believe that in the professional market now there's a huge demand in the market especially there are many people who have the degrees and who have different qualifications among them you being an ACCA member it's a very proud moment and it's a very competitive advantage that you can obtain among all of them.

During my AM preparation, I also working at an international audit firm. So, managing both professional work and studies was definitely a challenge. However, hashan sir's well structured study plan made it possible for me to balance both sides effectively. I followed his guidance step by step starting with theory building my concept and gradually moving into past papers and further questions. I used my study leave wisely focusing on intense revision practicing and tackling difficult areas.

Looking back it was all about following the process consistently. Well, AMA has many tough topics, not only investment appraiser, variance analysis and transfer pricing, but also areas like decision traum decision making and more. It at at first it felt overwhelming especially while working full-time. However, Hashans sir's teaching method made a big difference. He teaches with logic and practical examples making even the hardest topics easier to grasp.

On my approach to the casestudy assignment, I followed the structured plan given by the Wasantha and Chamath sir. Uh so uh they step by step by guidance on understand the assignment guideline helped me a lot. I organized my detailed analysis into professional comment given by lecturers. They reviewed my assignment several times and I followed their feedback and uh did improvements to the my draft when it raised the uh expected standard. With regards to the preing analysis, it was uh really helpful for me to face the examination. Was answer did detail pre analysis uh which covering uh which uh look at the case from different angle strategic reason, financial and other aspects.

I was able to get the subject price for SL3 under that batch. So in the examination corporate taxation part is a little bit difficult part but Rukshan sir teach us how we can do the corporate taxation subject in more easy way. He told he teach us every adjustment step by step in a smooth manner and also he told us he teach us how we can approach to the correction what are the first things that we need to do. So all the things he teach us in a logical flow so that's how I tackle my corporate taxation part in the examination as per the rukansa's guidance. So in the examination international taxation is also a little bit difficult part. So my strategy was here actually I did several past papers.

I continuously practicing the international taxation pass questions within the past papers. So because of that I use to do the calculations and the theories very well in the examination in relation to the international taxation.
