We practised many questions using this method during the classes, which helped me confidently handle even lengthy consolidation questions while managing my time effectively. Because of this practice, I was able to approach the consolidation question in the exam without hesitation.

As a university undergraduate, I wanted to balance my academics, CA exams, and extracurricular activities, so I decided to complete all four Corporate Level subjects in my first attempt. For Audit, I followed Vipula Sir’s study plan by watching the theory videos from the beginning and then moving on to the past paper discussions, which helped me successfully face the exam.

For Financial Reporting, although the exam is open-book, having a thorough understanding of the relevant sections is important. My advice is to stay consistent, keep up with the theory videos, practise past papers, and manage your time well. With the right approach, completing all four Corporate Level subjects is definitely possible.

I’m really grateful for the guidance I received from Wasantha Sir and Chamath Sir when completing my case study assignment. Their step-by-step approach and clear explanation of the assignment guidelines helped me structure my work effectively.The lecturers reviewed my assignment several times and provided valuable feedback, which I used to improve my drafts and bring them up to the expected standard. The pre-exam analysis was also very helpful, as it covered the case from different perspectives, including strategic, financial, and other relevant aspects. This preparation gave me greater confidence when facing the examination.

I’m really grateful for Chalana Sir’s guidance while studying CL4 Corporate Law. The subject contains a lot of legal content, but his logical and practical teaching style made it much easier to understand. He used real-world examples and explained each concept step by step, which made the lessons more interesting and helped the content stay in my mind.

Corporate Law does involve some memory-based areas, but instead of trying to memorise everything, I focused on understanding the concepts behind them. Chalana Sir’s teaching approach helped me do exactly that.

One thing that really helped me was the way how Hashan sir explained these concepts. He breaks down even the complex areas into smaller parts. His method helped me to understand these concepts easily and I was able to apply them in the examination however the question was framed. Moreover, sir used simple and relatable examples which made it much more easier for me to understand these complex topics. Once we understand how and why something works, it becomes much more easier for us to apply that knowledge in exam. Something that I have learned from this experience is that just because a topic or a subject is complex, it doesn't mean that it has to be difficult. If it is understood logically and if it is understood practically, it will become more manageable and even enjoyable.

In my opinion, trying to face a subject like advanced management accounting without attempting past papers or practicing questions is not a feasible solution. Personally, I went through more than 10 to 12 pass papers, pilot papers and mock papers given by Hashan sir.

I’m grateful for Rukshan Sir’s guidance, which helped me achieve the subject prize for SL3. Corporate Taxation was one of the more challenging areas, but Sir explained each adjustment step by step and taught us how to approach questions in a logical order. This made it much easier to handle the calculations in the exam.

International Taxation was also challenging, so I focused on practising past paper questions regularly. This helped me become more confident with both the calculations and theory during the exam.

I’m grateful for Chalana Sir’s guidance in helping me achieve this prize. Corporate Law is a theory-based and open-book subject, so simply memorising the theory or the Companies Act is not enough. We need to understand the application behind the concepts.

Similarly, in BL8, Yasmin Sir connected the lessons to situations we come across in real life, which made the subject easier to understand.

To win the subject prize for economics, I just followed all the recordings and noted what I required. BL8 (Digital Business Strategy) was a new and quite practical subject for me, and I initially thought it would be difficult. However, Yasmin Sir made both the theoretical and practical aspects of the syllabus much easier to understand.

The mock exams also included points beyond the basic theory, which helped us prepare better for the actual exam. During the live sessions, Sir also took the time to discuss our questions and explain anything we found difficult.

This helped me handle different types of exam questions with confidence. I was able to score 92 marks for Management Accounting and win a prize.Being able to study whenever I had free time through Online Accounting also played an important role in helping me achieve the All Island First Prize.

I  was able to achieve a subject prize for the CL3 - Advanced Management Accounting in the July 2021 examination.

Hashan sir’s guidance motivated me to achieve this prize. There were only two and a half months for me to study. Then Hashan sir gave me a plan to cover the whole syllabus within that time frame.

I watched all the videos within a month. After that, other than covering the whole syllabus Hashan sir did further questions and discussed past papers from 2016.
